Laia Vidal is a figurative painter based in Barcelona, Spain. Drawing and painting has been her passion since she was very little. She is a self-taught artist specialized in oil paintings and watercolor draws. At the presente she is studing Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in the University of Barcelona (UB) and Identification of Counterfeit Works of Art. She has always had a special fondness for female portraits and nature, displaying sensibility, delicacy and introspection. In some of his works he combines art with flowers, petals and leaves of plants. Usually the figures in her work seem lonely but with a mistical and spiritual message, transmitting its essence. She works mainly with traditional techniques, trying to be in continuous evolution, researching, improving and experimenting with different techniques and motives.
